Charlie and Rosie

Charlie and Rosie (3 year old tabby cats, brother and sister from the same litter)

Charlie and Rosie were born on a busy farm in Bishop Auckland and I have owned them since they were 12 weeks old. They have developed their own distinct personalities. Charlie is outgoing, friendly and absolutely loves nothing better to sit on your lap for a stroke and some love whilst purring his head off! He is inquisitive and loves to play with laser pens, toys and scratch posts. Rosie is shy and timid and enjoys her own space. She does like attention but only once she is sure of the person. Both cats like each others company and will play fight on the odd occasion! They sometimes lie together and groom each other but usually they just like to know where one another is then go to their own spaces in the house.

They are used to staying in the house whilst I am at work but recently they have been playing outside all day when I have been at work and then coming home as soon as they hear my key in the door! They enjoy going out as much as staying in (it all depends on the weather!). They never wander far and enjoy sitting in the garden watching birds and chasing flies. They are not used to a main road as I live in a cul de sac and they just go out into the garden and the gardens surrounding mine. I don't have a cat flap so they are not used to coming and going as they please. I currently feed them a diet of dry food and on the odd occasion they will get wet food. Like all cats, they will do anything for a tin of tuna!

Ideally they would benefit from a home where the owner was home a lot to give them the attention they crave. They are very sociable and wouldn't mind a busy household - in fact the busier the better as they would get more attention! Both cats have been neutered.
